Chaskiwasi Terms of Service
Effective date: October 22, 2026.
These terms are an agreement between you and Chaskiwasi LLC, a Texas limited liability company (“Chaskiwasi”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the app at chaskiwasi.app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it. Chaskiwasi is currently offered to people in the United States who are at least 18.
What Chaskiwasi is
Chaskiwasi is a tool for planning triathlon and other endurance races, logging results, and reviewing them. It includes the Chaskiwasi Race Score (CRS), a number that helps you compare races, and Chaskiwasi Insights, written commentary produced by an AI model.
Your account
Give accurate information, keep your password private, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Your data
You own the races, results, journal entries and other content you enter. You give us permission to store, process and display it as needed to run the app for you, including sending the data needed to generate an Insight to our AI provider, as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not sell your data.
Beta terms
While Chaskiwasi is in beta it may contain bugs, change, be unavailable at times, or be reset or ended with notice. Keep your own copy of anything important. If you give us feedback, ideas or suggestions, you give them freely: they create no ownership, partnership or compensation rights, and we may use them to improve Chaskiwasi without owing you anything. Beta testers who joined before launch are “founding members” and keep full access to the features available to them at the time of launch, at no charge, for one year from the date paid plans start, and can then subscribe at half the regular price for as long as they keep that subscription active.
Free and paid plans
Chaskiwasi includes a free trial that is measured in race results, not days. You can add races dated before the day you registered, and their results, without limit and free of charge, and they get Insights. For races dated on or after your registration date, you can add and plan as many as you like during the trial, and you can save the results of one of them (your “trial race”) for free. Saving results again for the same race does not use up another one. To save results for a second new race you need a paid subscription.
If you try to save results for a second new race without a subscription, or if a paid subscription ends, your account becomes view-only, and we will tell you with a message in the app. Your data stays in your account and you can still see your races (including each race’s CRS), your journal and your improvement actions, but you cannot add or plan races, save results, or add journal entries or actions. The Analytics section and the Insights tab are locked until you subscribe. Subscribing unlocks everything again. While your account is view-only you cannot delete individual entries, but you can ask us to delete your whole account at any time by emailing chaski@chaskiwasi.com (see Ending your account).
A subscription has no limit on the number of races. The price and any sales tax are shown to you at checkout before you pay, and the billing, renewal, cancellation and refund terms are set out below under Billing, renewal and refunds. We will not charge you without your agreement.
Insights are generated by an AI model and are subject to fair-use limits that we may change: up to 5 Insights per race per calendar month, up to 150 Insights in total during the free trial, and up to 100 Insights per calendar month for subscribers. When you reach a limit we will tell you with a message in the app and you cannot generate a new Insight until it resets (the free-trial limit is a total, so it does not reset), but you can still save races, results and reports, and your existing Insights stay visible unless your account is view-only. We do not promise unlimited Insights.
Billing, renewal and refunds
Subscriptions are monthly ($14.99) or annual ($119.99) plus applicable sales tax, and renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card number. You can cancel at any time from Manage subscription in your account. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. If you pay for a subscription for the first time and are not satisfied, email chaski@chaskiwasi.com within 14 days of that first payment and we will refund it in full. After those 14 days we do not refund any payment or any unused part of a period. This applies equally to purchases made with a promotion code. Switching from monthly to annual charges the prorated difference at once; switching to a cheaper plan takes effect at the end of the current period. If a payment fails we may retry it, and if it cannot be collected your subscription ends and your account becomes view-only (see Free and paid plans). We will tell you in the app or by email between 7 and 30 days before a price change that affects you takes effect, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
Not advice
The CRS and Chaskiwasi Insights are for information and personal reflection. They are not coaching, medical or health advice. Insights are written by software and can be inaccurate or incomplete. Before changing your training, nutrition or racing, use your own judgement and talk to a qualified coach or doctor. You use the information at your own risk.
Using the service properly
Do not misuse Chaskiwasi. That includes trying to access other people’s data, probing or attacking the service, scraping it, reselling it, or using it for anything unlawful. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms.
Our property
The Chaskiwasi app, name, logo, the CRS and its design belong to us. These terms give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the app; they do not give you ownership of anything of ours.
Ending your account
You can stop using Chaskiwasi at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing chaski@chaskiwasi.com, which works even if your account is view-only or locked. We can suspend or end the service or your access, with notice where reasonable. Sections that by their nature should survive (for example ownership, disclaimers and limits of liability) will survive.
Disclaimers and limits
Chaskiwasi is provided “as is” and “as available”, without promises that it will be error-free or always available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data or lost profits, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you paid nothing. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Montgomery County, Texas.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell active users in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Chaskiwasi afterwards means you accept the new terms.
